Our solicitors recently secured a substantial settlement for their client in a long-running inheritance dispute. Our client sought financial provision from the estate of her mother, who had left an expression of wishes before she died but never formally updated her will. The claim was contested and it was necessary to issue court proceedings. A settlement was eventually agreed in negotiations ahead of the trial date. The financial package is of significant benefit to our client and goes some way to honouring the deceased’s wishes.
