Training Contracts & Internships
Training contracts
Trainee solicitors are a vital part of this firm. We believe strongly in training our own staff internally and adopt a hands on approach wherever possible. Our Jennifer Sole won the lawcareers.net award for best small firm trainer in 2015 and we have been shortlisted for a training award by lawcareers.net for over 5 years. During their contract, our trainees gain exposure to all of the areas of law we practise and, under supervision, will have client contact from the very beginning. Life as a trainee with us is summarised in this article.
In December 2021 we were awarded a silver medal in the Workplace Happiness Awards sponsored by The Telegraph, and this was without even applying!
Training contract application process
We are currently seeking trainee solicitors to work in our London City and High Wycombe offices beginning in 2024 and 2025. We are currently particularly interested in candidates with a background in property law. There is no deadline for making an application – we are generally always recruiting as the firm’s departments are all growing. We consider applications throughout the year.
We often arrange 2-day assessment periods which allow both us and the candidate to obtain an insight into each other. Suitable candidates should have a minimum of a 2:1 degree, if this has already been completed. We do consider applications from candidates who have not yet completed their degree or LPC, and candidates who wish to seek to qualify through the SQE route.
If you wish to make an application please send a covering letter/email and your CV to: training@curzongreen.co.uk
Intern placements
We offer short-term placements during the Easter, summer and winter breaks at our High Wycombe office to students who are undertaking a law degree, GDL, LPC or (very occasionally) those looking to qualify as a solicitor through the SQE route.
During your time with us you would be involved in activities such as legal research, preparing draft documentation, attending court and meeting clients. Over 70% of our trainee solicitors completed a placement with the firm before being offered a training contract.
Internship application process
We currently have placement opportunities available during 2023 and 2024. If you wish to make an application please send a covering letter/email and your CV to: internships@curzongreen.co.uk
