Jennifer Sole is a solicitor and partner heading up the Employment and Property teams.
Employment Law
Jennifer has extensive experience in negotiating and litigating employment law claims, having represented employers and employees in the Employment Tribunal, High Court and their appellate jurisdictions. She specialises in complex, multi-day claims relating to discrimination, whistleblowing, harassment, victimisation , breach of contract and dismissals. Her recent caseload has involved FTSE 100 corporations, international banks, law firms and SMEs as well as senior executives. Jennifer acted for the high profile Claimant, Latifa Bouabdillah. In addition, Jennifer has been involved in a number of high-value confidential information and restrictive covenant matters. Jennifer’s team also provides general HR assistance, advising employers on employee relations issues, including employee exits and severance terms. Jennifer can assist with standalone TUPE advice in M&A and corporate transactions.
Property Law
Jennifer’s property law experience has included multi-million commercial transactions, right through to heading up the team carrying out day-to-day residential conveyancing from the very start of her career.
Company & Commercial
Jennifer’s company/commercial law experience includes drafting terms and conditions for a wide range of companies, reviewing and amending commercial agreements and advising on debt recovery, and settlement agreements.
Memberships and committee work
Jennifer is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association (ELA) for whom she is frequently invited to sit on working parties to respond to government consultations relating to legislative and constitutional changes affecting the employment law sphere. As part of these working parties Jennifer has contributed to ELA’s responses to proposals for a single Equalities Court and online Courts and Tribunals.
Background
Jennifer graduated from Cardiff University with an LLB joint honours degree in Law and Spanish. During the course Jennifer spent a year at university in Spain. Jennifer achieved a Distinction in her professional exams before qualifying as a solicitor. Over the next few years Jennifer headed up the Real Estate and Employment departments of a regional law firm before moving to work in a boutique employment law firm in the City of London in 2011 and then joining Curzon Green as a partner in 2015.
