Jessie is a solicitor currently workingk in the dispute resolution and employment teams. Jessie graduated from the University of York with first class honours in law. Jessie completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of London and achieved a distinction.
In the dispute resolution team, Jessie currently assists with a variety of matters including privacy law, contract disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, debt recovery, personal injury and clinical negligence claims. Notable claims that she has been involved with include representing a Defendant in a multi-party claim brought under the Inheritance Act 1975, helping to achieve a settlement which protected the Defendant's interests, as well as a clinical negligence claim, assisting the Claimant in securing £10,000 in damages to aid her recovery from PTSD suffered after experiencing negligent hospital care.
Jessie's knowledge of privacy law is such that she has been quoted by Stylist magazine in an article about the legislative reforms needed to support victims of revenge porn.
Jessie also has experience of contentious and non-contentious matters in the employment team. In particular she has been involved in negotiating settlements, advising on potential discrimination and unfair dismissal claims and assisting both employees and employers with redundancy situations.
