Successful application to add a Second Respondent to discrimination claim

Lauren McLaughlin has been successful in an application to add a Second Respondent to a claim of pregnancy and maternity discrimination.

The Claimant brought complaints of pregnancy and maternity discrimination against her former employer company in the Employment Tribunal. The successful application to add another Respondent means that, in addition to claims against the company, the Employment Tribunal can hold the Second Respondent (the Claimant’s manager) personally liable for alleged discriminatory acts.
