Gavin is a solicitor advocate specialising in family matters having been practising in this area since 2003.  Born in High Wycombe, Gavin completed his training as a solicitor with a firm in Buckinghamshire where he first met Rob Green.  

At the beginning of 2004, Gavin relocated to Reading to join the Family Law team of a prominent firm where he became a partner 2008.  Gavin left that firm in August 2011 after being asked by Rob to join him here.

Gavin has a distinguished reputation as a litigator in family matters and has obtained his rights of audience as a Higher Rights Advocate, meaning that he can present cases in the Court of Appeal. 

Gavin is an accredited member of the Law Society's Family Accreditation Scheme, is qualified as a Collaborative Lawyer and is a member of Resolution.

Gavin's approach is always to try reasonably to avoid a contested Court hearing through dialogue and sensible discussion.  Where this is impossible his work mainly sees him in the Principal Registry and local County Courts. 

In addition to his specialism in Family Law, Gavin also has significant experience in dealing with other private client matters including powers of attorney, contentious probate claims and cases involving the Court of Protection.
